Our Year 13 students saw a remarkable 91.8% pass rate for NCEA Level 3 (68.2% nationally), with 115 out of 125 students receiving their certificates—an improvement of nearly two percentage point from 2023. Of those, 13.6% earned an Excellence endorsement, while 28% achieved a Merit endorsement. Additionally, the University and tertiary education rate for Year 13 students reached an exceptional 84%–significantly surpassing the national average of 48.2% highlighting the academic success and bright futures ahead for our graduates.

Both Gabrielle Hill, NCEA Dux 2024 and Keana Woodfield Proxime Accessit achieved an Excellence endorsement for Level 3 NCEA. Gabrielle is currently working as a tutor in Edinburgh on her gap year and is applying to join Cambridge University in September 2025, whilst Keana is off to the University of Canterbury to study Politics and Economics.

Our Year 12 students also delivered stellar results, achieving an outstanding 98% pass rate for NCEA Level 2 (72.2% nationally) with 116 out of 118 obtaining their qualification. Among them, 28.3% received an Excellence endorsement (15% nationally), and 18% were awarded a Merit endorsement. These impressive figures underscore the hard work, resilience, and dedication of our Year 12 students.

Julie Small, Campus Principal says, “Congratulations to all our students on a fantastic set of results – each and every one should be proud of what they have achieved. These achievements are a testament to the hard work, dedication, and talent of our students and staff, as well as the support from parents and caregivers. We cannot be more proud of what our young people have accomplished, not just in their academic results, but in their commitment to service, co-curricular activities and contribution to school life.

“For our Year 13s we wish you all the best for what I am sure will be bright futures. For our Year 12 students, we look forward to welcoming you back to campus for your final year at St. Peter’s.”

At St. Peter’s, our Year 11 students undertake the St. Peter’s Diploma rather than studying for NCEA Level 1. The St. Peter’s Diploma is aligned with our school ethos of mind, body and spirit, and is a culmination of students’ academic and co-curricular journey. The St. Peter’s Diploma prepares students well for their Year 12 and Year 13 pathways, whether that be studying the International Baccalaureate Diploma or NCEA Level 2 and Level 3.
